Next Up

Here are three models to watch:

1.) Milagros Schmoll, 19 - Like Behati, who was featured in last weeks post, Milagros has been hiding around for a while, but has never really done much noted work. Until she cut her hair, that is. After chopping off her long red locks and opted instead for a much shorter style, Milagros has been regularly featured in runway shows for Badgley Mischka, Diane Von Furstenburg and Jean Paul Gaultier. In fact, Milagros was the opening AND closing model at Gaultier's Fall 2007 Couture show and the most recent Fall Couture show - she's even considered his muse! This Buenos Aires-born beauty was also recently photographed for the cover of Argentine Elle and Italian Marie Claire. Be prepared to see Milagros all over the Spring 2008 runways - especially Gaultier's!

2.) Hye Park, 23 - With the lack of asian models in fashion these days, it's refreshing to see a young asian model having a blooming, successful career. Among the other high profile asian models like Han Jin and Du Juan, Hye Park is the most established (and the youngest!) She and her best friend and co-model, Bette Franke, are inseparable - as are their careers. They can often be seen together at numerous runway shows. Hye's recent work includes a Dolce & Gabbana catalog with fellow models Heloise Guerin and Jessica Stam, replacing top model Lily Donaldson as the new face of MaxMara, and becoming on of the faces of Tiffany & Co. alongside Shalom Harlow and Sasha Pivovarova. French Vogue has even featured Hye as a top model - a true honor. Hye is surely destined for great things - more than she's already done for the diversity of fashion.

3.) Ali Stephens, 17 - While her name may often be mistaken for Ali Michael (most widely known for her runway banning), Ali Stephens's is an uninterrupted rising star. Along with her classic American good looks, Ali has a great singing voice and also partakes in cross country running. But she may have to take a break from those, because her modeling career has been going non-stop since she signed with Elite in August 2007. In just a little over a year Ali has appeared in U.S. Harper's Bazaar and Italian Vogue editorials, signed with Chanel's cosmetics line, photographed by Steven Meisel for CK Jeans (you may have seen one of the millions of billboards), was featured as a top model in French Vogue, and became the face of Chloe, replacing veteran model's Shalom Harlow and  Anja Rubik. And that's just the tip of the iceberg that is Ali Stephens. Be prepared to see her face on every billboa - oh wait! She already is :)
