Headlines

Some sources are reporting that model Agyness Deyn may quit modeling to pursue an acting career. She was noticeably absent from many shows this past season, and may be following in the footsteps of model Gemma Ward who, at a similar pseudo-supermodel peak like Agyness, chose to take part in the fright-fest "The Strangers" and the australian film "The Black Balloon" instead of parading down the fashion week catwalks. Gemma has said that she would return to modeling later on, with brief appearances at Chanel, Hermes, Givenchy, Valentino, and a few other shows.

Supermodel Kate Moss caused quite a stir when she showed-off her performance skills at a karaoke contest (that she was judging along with X Factor judge Louis Walsh and Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson). She took to the stage when a guest bid $47,000  to hear her perform "Summertime" with Pink Floyd legend David Gilmour, but they clearly were not prepared for her showmanship - the model was so into the performance she dropped to her knees and was writhing on the floor, all the while belting out the lyrics!

Model Camila Alves is pregnant with her second child by her boyfriend, actor Matthew McConaughey. They have a son together, Levi, who will be a year old July 7th.

Guess who turned out to be pregnant after all?

Challenge... Smells Like Model Spirit

Like the title says, this week's "Challenge" is all about the senses - the scent sense in particular! A model isn't truly established until, along with many other projects, she's got that perfume campaign under her belt. Our fabulous final four sure are smelly, but we love it.

Last weeks Challenge winner: Natasha Poly :)
Eliminated from the last post: Abbey Lee Kershaw :( - yes, I know her picture last week was a fragrance campaign...

Here are our fragrant final four:

Natasha Poly - Even a Golden Goddesses Needs a Signature Scent
Bette Franke - I'll Bette Two for the Price of One
Maryna Linchuk - When a Scent is Lighter Than Air...
Vlada Roslyakova - I Wonder What an Angel Smells Like (Vlada Knows)

**We're nearing the end and your vote is more important than ever!**
Who will be eliminated? Who will move on to the next round? Who knows!
DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!

What Would She Wear?

To integrate a little fashion, I'm starting this new blog much like Who What Wear's "What Would She Wear" featuring your favourite models! Please comment on who you'd like to see dressed up next (and what event you'd like them to be dressed up for!)

NataliaVodianova

This is what I imagine Natalia Vodianova would wear to an incredibly stylish cocktail party.

The mash-up includes pieces from Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, Tom Binns, Givenchy, Chanel, and others.

Next Up

Eniko Mihalik

So maybe she's not really an up-and-comer, but the Hungarian beauty Eniko is sure to be one of the next big, longtime models, following in the footsteps of such modeling mainstays as Julia Stegner and Angela Lindvall. Since Eniko's 2006 debut in the fall Chanel Couture show, she hit a plateau for a few years 'til 2008, when she was signed to an exclusive 6-month contract with famed photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vindooh Matadin, appeared in editorials for Italian Vogue and Flair, and became one of the faces of Gucci along with Lily Donaldson and Abbey Lee. Since then, her most recent work includes many editorials for French, Japanese, and Italian Vogue, landed a cover of i-D magazine, and has walked such prominent shows as Givenchy and Valentino. Keep an eye on Eniko, because besides just having an ethereal quirkiness that puts her in the same ranks as her friend Iekeliene Stange and Masha Tyelna, she's extremely versatile (as clearly shown in a French Vogue editorial that took her from 10 to 70 years old, seen above) and an absolutely fantastic model.

Challenge... Up!

Sadly no, this post is not going to be about a man and his balloon house, but instead, there will be (drumroll please) jumping/leaping/prancing models! Surely you can get your fill of this by simply flipping through any issue of American Vogue from the past 40+ years, but we felt this lighthearted pose needed to be commemorated in this segment of "Challenge".

Last weeks Challenge winner: Bette Franke :)
Eliminated from the last post: Erin Heatherton :(

And here are our frolicking final five fashionistas:

Vlada Roslyakova - Scared Straight Up
Natasha Poly - Haughty High Kick
Bette Franke - Walking in Mid Air
Maryna Linchuk - Stepping to New Heights
Abbey Lee Kershaw - The Flying, Floating, Flora

Who will be eliminated? Who will move on to the next round? Who knows! DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!
